Okay here are some basic rules of RPGing:

1: Be nice to other people, and respect thier characters, they've worked hard to develp a person out of their imagination... Just like you!
2: Give your posts some thought, add lots of description... Try to make nice, descrpitive posts at least a paragraph long... Not a few sentences! (But there can be exceptions!)
3: Don't make a SUPER character... And by this, I don't mean like a character with superpowers... I mean, one that has every trait imaginable and can kill everything....
4: Don't kill or manipulate other people's characters! They are not yours to control! You can only use other people's characters, unless they ask you to via PM!
5: Read the posts that are already there! I cannot stress this enough. If you don't read the posts, and familiarize yourself with what's going on, then you're probably going to post something like this: Then the happy little Ewok frolicked in the flowers and went skipping all the way home... When in fact, we're in the middle of an epic sword duel between some elves or something.
6: Piggybacking with rule number 5, make sure you stay on topic... Don't go talking about something that doesn't really relate to what's going on in the RP at that time.
7: Most importantly... Be creative... AND HAVE FUN!!

If we follow all these guidelines, we can have a happy RPG experience for everyone!

ok... there are more rules that can be posted and you had a typo here
if there are any rules i can think of that haven't been posted and that become a problem ill post them here.

Ok here is a big one

No controlling of characters from the movie/book/game that the RPG is based on, ex. No being Gandalf, Master Chief, Harry Potter, etc... and try too keep interaction with them to a minimum.

Right that's a biggy, unless it's specified in the RP, where you can BE Gandalf or whatever....

I've been in RPs where we all choose the characters we wanna be, first come first serve sort of thing... I usually get Princess Leia... Sure, we totally go aganist all things that have already been published but it's a fun thing to do, as long as that's what the RP's about.
